so all it took was a movie with tattooed punk rock ladies in it to cheer me up! 
just went to see "Prey For Rock n Roll" at the NFT, with the lovely Gina Gershon and tank girl herself, Lori Petty. (i didn't actually go with them, they were in the film!)
it was great - kinda cheesy, but great fun, some good music, some great (fake) tattoos and of course the girls in the band - Gina, Lori, Drea De Matteo and...er...the other one that played the drummer...
was nice to see Marc Blucas from Buffy playing a tattooed ex-con too!
was also good to see a "band movie" about a non-famous band, that didn't have that whole "we get really big, then fuck everything up" vibe going on. Clamdandy were a struggling small-time wannabe rock band, and remained that way for the entire plot.
i notice its out on DVD in the States already...i may have to dig this up with "Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls".
if you get a chance, try and go see it - it'll make you, i promise!

it's 50/50 as to whether i can get the time off this weekend, but can you recommend a decent hotel? if not, i might just give the club a miss and take you up on that offer.
