this is me:
last January, at the first BIG SGUK London meet...jeez, that seems like a long long time ago now....
anyhoo, its me now too...fuck, i'm tired. week has gone something like this:
* Wednesday - saw the Wildhearts. Gig was awesome - the band rocked! Loud, Heavy, Choruses, 4 part harmonies...YES PLEASE!
had a great time, and got to hang out with best buds Chris and Carmel, as well as Charlotte and Ash from The Ship!
* Thursday - LadyInsane came down for the night, and we (along with carmel) went to see Poison The Well and Dillinger Escape Plan.
Excerpt of conversation to follow:
LadyInsane: Did you enjoy that Munch?
Munch: well...Poison The Well were great. And Dillinger are great musicians. But...no. Not really.
Gig was loud, obnoxious, unpleasent. I kinda like Dillinger - but at least when they are on CD, i can turn them off after 20 minutes.
So - not really my thing I'm afraid. Plus it was the loudest gig I have been to for years. The bass made me feel sick. And i'm deaf already...it had to be loud to fuck up my already fucked-up hearing.
was nice to bump into G1 though...
Still - fuck the gig. the main highlight was spending the night with carmel and ladyinsane. was awesome to see miss insane again, as per bloody usual.
evening ended up with us too staying up, drinking beer and gabbing away till the early hours.
love ya matey...
* Saturday - an inpromptue get-together with some of the SG kids at The Ship. Seeing as we hadn't been there together for ages, we thought we'd pop along.
had a great time with CreamyGoodness, oak, Kinto, Hologram, Aosoth, and our quiet mellow start was soon joined and livened up by the appearance of PearlBass, nathair_dubh (or Abaddon), NoScar and the slighty hyperactive and excitable Fanny!
must admit, i started the evening a bit quiet and down, and found it hard to get into proceedings. it reminded me of the same time last year, and hanging out with the London Hardcore (tm). I miss Vix being about, and the absence of ex-member Geronimo is leaving a BIG FUCKING DAMN GAPING HOLE. we need you back buddy...
but after some food, i soon sorted myself out once everyone got into the swing of things, especially when they played the Ramones and The Ruts!
still fucking tired now...and i now have a dilemma. Do i go to a family pre-xmas dinner tomorrow, or do i go see the Damned, Sham 69, The Avengers and 999 @ the Astoria instead?
don't answer that - by the time you give me an opion, i'll have done one of the above anyway!

you have a whirlwind social life.
wish i wasn't stuck in front of a screen so much.
I was in attendance at my loudest gig ever on Fri night, standing inside a boxing ring in front of 1000 pilled-up chavs, filming a bunch of wannabe gangsters yelling into a mike over jackhammer drum & bass. fucking awful. my ears still havent recovered.
