PIMMS O'CLOCK EVERYONE!!
teehee, look its Nadine...
oh, yeah, right, so I went to Mantra Tattoo Convention this last weekend, and I had a fab time. Got to hang out with some of my old SG buddies I don't see very often, had a few beers, and saw some amazing tattoo artists that nearly made me simultaneously cry AND shit myself.
I also had the great feeling that my getting tattooed recently, and the fact that it took me so long to get started, was totally the right thing to do. I am so happy with now being tattooed, all I want to do now is get more work.
Is it a self esteem thing? I dunno - I was always kinda generally happy with being a shortarse...but now I'm a TATTOOED SHORTARSE!
so heres some pics for those that asked...
this is the convention:
the rather painful looking traditional tattooing...this made me and TheNonStopDancer gag:
a nice motorbike:
The weekend was a blast from start to finish. Was joined by cakemix and jed on the train on the way up to Cheltenham, and was great to get to hang out with them throughout the saturday.
Saturday ended in scary (and very funny) alcohol induced shenanigans, only to start sunday morning with Caz, Tilly and Vicky sitting on my bed at 10am. Caz was just as perky as she was when she went to bed.
...was a nice surprise to wake up to though!
I'd just like to say thanks to Nadine and John - thanks for everything. Putting me up, looking after us in Cheltenham, driving me around, and showing me yer "photos"
And a big *HUG*n shit to all the other nutters - Tilly(thanks for the phone luv), Vicky (thanks for the lifts, and the licking), TheNonStopDancer (thanks for snoring and being far more hungover than me), and all the other nice new people that i met'n'shit...
Last but not least - Caz, you are so fucking awesome. I'm soooo glad i got to meet you, at long last...yer lovely, and as mad as a bag of spanners, you are!
Can we go again next year, CAN WE??!!!
ps...for more stuff, see TheNonStopDancers journal...hes much better with the words than me!
