anyway, had a work do last night - warning: RANT coming up!!!
work do's are weird - perhaps I'm being really intolerant (which I probably am), but I don't really feel like I've ever had the best time.
I've got some cool friends at work - people that I spend time with outside of work. People that I will be friends with for years to come. Work do's should be a great opportunity to hang out with your work collegues, and see people in a situation outside work. But when the bulk of the staff is made up of giggly, designer clothes shopping, boy-band loving girly townie-types, who think you are weird cos you've got a studded belt, or suede brothel creepers, it gets really OLD.
RockChick turned up in a pair of MASSIVE great fuck-off biker boots last night - she had a great time (although she was pissed the restaurant didn't have bitter), but you can see the other girlies thinking that her outfit is "not quite right".
NO, I WILL NOT GO TO FUCKING TIGERTIGER WITH YOU!
don't get me wrong, my attendance is always appreciated (the more the merrier), and I always try to have fun. And there are some great people who also attend these do's as well. Thank god for them!

got some ace gigs booked this week - Distillers in August and Rancid in September. RockChick is uncontrollable!
EDIT: added some photos to My Pics - a few shots of my time in San Francisco, my fave place in the world. Ok, so I'm drunk in most of them - I was on holiday!
