Do you trust yourself?

I have a little thing that I like to call "First take magic". When i'm doing anything creative, the first take/mix/creation tends to be the best interpretation. When you over-think art, I think it taints the original idea and you never get it as good as you had it the first time and decided "I can do better". I think it takes a lot of courage to be satisfied with your first "take", but that's the name of the game.

2 more hours worth of work on the record and it's officially out of my hands. Come friday morning, our record is complete and out of our hands. I'm getting excited again. Last night we worked on the concept of the record, from start to finish. We did something very cool at the end, and we might have broken some rules. fuck it.

I've been listening to this new Pedro the Lion record lately, and I must say, it continues to stoke me out. Track 6, Swinging, might be one of the best songs i've heard in a year. Go give it a listen if you have a sec.
