Tinder Surprise

After finding myself alone in a whole new “single” world looking to meet people to hang out with , I decided to download Tinder.

People have been raving about this app for so long, I thought what could all the hype be about?

Well after installing the app, I may have become slightly addicted to swiping left more so than swiping right if...

I have a love and hate relationship with Tinder. It has reduce us to a "hot or not" society. But because I work around the clock, go to school, and am raising two kids...life outside of that is grim. Plus I hate meeting people in loud environment such as bars. On the other hand, I have met some cool ladies because of it.

I was very pleasantly surprised and met my current girlfriend on Tinder.  I got on out of boredom and actually thought her profile was fake.  Turns out it was the best waste of time I've ever had!

I have always had a steady job and then a “fun” job on the side. I have worn many hats in my young life and have to say that it has allowed me to grow and gain a variety of experiences over the years. Most recently, after back packing across the country.. I landed in a little town on the outside of Edmonton called Leduc.....

Pain & Pleasure

Being an ink junkie I have a great understanding of the addiction to pain.. Clearly there is an aspect of pleasure that comes from this pain or we/ I wouldn’t continue to subject myself to it… I got my first tattoo at 15 and never looked back.. Most teens go a different route.. they choose to pierce .. most commonly their nose,...

I completely agree and didn't hurt that bad. I don't have very sensitive nipples. Haha
sebaste:
I'm not really into piercing, I had both my ears stretched to 00, my tongue and my lip but I removed all of em. I think that piercing aren't for me though I totally understand why some people do it and the love/hate relationship with the pain/pleasure that piercing induces. I'm addicted to ink though because I love the rush of endorphin and the pain it does the body.

Dear Addiction

How are you? Now that I know who you and what you are, you’ve taken so much from me ( and I allowed you). You took my spirit and left me alone.

You took my friendships, family and left me to be full of regrets and sorrow. You took my freedom and gave me solitudes, anxiety and grief in return.
You robbed me...

@kevinmk the monster takes over .. Very scary ..
kevinmk:
@mtlmarbles I tried so hard to help him for a very long time. All he did was take advantage of my kindness. Eventually I had to give up. He didn't want my help and the person who was my friend was gone. I still talk to him from time to time. I always hope the person I knew will come back. I catch glimpses of the person he was but it never lasts long.

Lately being on my own I feel incredibly affraid.. alone .. unwilling to meet new people… I have never been an extrovert ( more of an intellect) but, managed to maintain friendships over the years. My fear steams not from my anxieties but, from my broken brain..

I have been incredibly self concious… I work very hard to focus.. stay on point.. remember each aspect...

@littlejohn22 I was born into a trilingual house.. not sure if I could learn them now. The brain is beautiful and complex and we have to embrace it for good and bad.

Truly inspiring, most people tend to focus on the negative side of everything rather than pulling from the good :)

Almost dead … Sober

*Warning, this is not my usual light hearted wittiness
So I have tossed this around several times wether or not I should write about this but, again it came to me last night. There is a reason it snuck back into thought and the only thing I can think of is that it needs to be put out as some sort...

You are very brave for putting this up here. I'm so sorry this happened to you.
user8992:
So sorry to hear. Everyone needs a safe place to let things out. This is a wonderful place for that. If you don't let it out it stays in and you can't let go properly. I have been drugged too and sexually abused. It was extremely horrible and damaging. I was able to move forward and heal through Reiki. I ran into the guy not long ago and didn't really respond when truly i should have lost it. I took my power back. His awful soul and the occurrence no longer affected me and I needed to let that go. Never forget but let go for my own health and sanity. I can be more introverted too often not a big fan of others or very selective and I gravitate towards animals or other empaths. I wish you peace. Sending love & light 💚

Dear past tense me..

You need to learn that being yourself.. being genuine is one of the most important things to being happy … You dont need to stress yourself about the small things.
Being accepting of others, understanding that everyone has different beliefs…. and that is ok… Some people may not accept your beliefs but, try not to dwell on it too long..

Just...

Growing up in Europe/ Canada I am a big traveller.. Even if I don't meet that one.. I have nothing stoping me from being the free spirited traveller that I am.
kevinmk:
Very cool. This is a great blog. My own cross Canada adventure was terrifying but exciting and I would trade it for the world. Highway 1 in February is not for the faint of heart haha but I did it and I'm glad I did.
