Who thinks I should NOT go to my Wills/Trusts/Estates class tonight? Here's the rationale: I have the whole day off - no internship - I worked all weekend, haven't had an evening off since last Tuesday, and start a new job on Wednesday. I would LOVE to take the dogs out, workout, eat, take a nap, watch tv, lounge around, and chill.

Now...

I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!! Thank you all for your good vibes, there were no jinx'es'es's. I am now a corporate/bankruptcy/trusts paralegal!!! biggrin

I can't express how happy I am. It took me so long to get myself to this point, and here it is. Only downside is it's 20 hours a week, which isn't a huge downer - work only 4 hours a day in the...

I finallyfigured out and finalized my race schedule for this year. I am decided that I will do no tris this year frown due to lack of funds and lack of time to train 3 events. So I am only running, which is fine at this point with all I have going on. I'll ride if I have time, but the run is my big...

TONS!!! I eventually want to learn to skydive! If only I can save up the money. Life has just been full of ideas and possibilities smile

Mmmmmm, swimmers. I totally agree. I swam competitively between 7th and 10 grades and was far too young to appreciate a well worn speedo. I was such an idiot! (by the way, rough water races were the BOMB!!! God, I used to love those!)

Quite the training/race schedule you've got! Good luck and perseverance to you always! (and I totally laughed at your "suck it up" comment. There are LOTS of whiners hanging around this place, aren't there? Do I have a get-out-of-jail-free card for my brain hemorrhage??? God, I hope so!) wink

ugh, I'm tired tonight. Kind of a long week. All week I intended to leave internship early and ended up staying 3 hours longer.

I just want to go to bed but the dogs want to go for a romp. They have to wait till the morning, cuz I am boss-dog and if I say we're going to bed, then we are going to bed....

Plan for today:

Go to internship early and leave early. While there, do a bit of work on a direct examination I need to do tonight.

Be home by 3:30, take dogs out and go for a run. It's supposed to hit 50 here today so I want to use it while it's here.

Eat, shower, go to class, come home, read, go to bed....

Ummm, I better not share my obscene amount of chocolate with you. Aren't you in training? Yeah! Yeah! That's it! I'd hate to ruin your discipline and regimen with an evil element like chocolate! I'd rather sacrifice myself and eat your share than derail your plans and visions of glory. It's tough love.....

(yeah, right! just teasing! After the 25 pounds I lost following my hospitalization, I'm really not in a huge hurry to start diving into temptation either! I'll DEFINITELY need to find people to share it with!)

wink wink wink

The bad news: I now do not have an even number of friends.

The good news: I love the pink hearts and flowers background. Vewy vewy cute and girlie, which is always good.

A request: send good employment vibes my way please. I can't go into details now cuz I am superstitious and I don't want to jinx it, but the vibes will only help....

I'm doing Valentine's Day early, cuz I got shit to do tomorrow. So for all of you in love, in love with love, committed, single, or just playin' around, here you go. One of the greatest songs ever written, "This Must be the Place (Naive Melody)" by the immortal and genius Talking Heads. Give yourself a cuddle and enjoy:

Home is where I want to...

hey chick.

I got distracted and then suddenly realized that I hadn't read your latest entry(?!?!) thinking it was one I'd already read.

Regardless however..blush

One of your lines REALLY got to me. Like, it's kind of so profound for me at the moment that I've only had a few minutes to process it, and I'm not sure if I WANT to process it...that I'm kind of happily dancing around it. It was this line:

"So I take it as a very very good sign when people don't associate with me; it seems to be a self-selecting process."

sheesh woman.

so...brief rundown (so that you can understand all this silly talk from mesmile) - I was a real hell raiser in high school, dated a drug dealer, got trashed all the time (but never got into drugs - just alcohol), etc. Then a lesbian fell in love with me, and she was insanely crazy intelligent and she told me I was a fuck up. Greatest thing to hear at the time, I tell you.

Then I grew into a nervous, but determined little university kid. Now I'm a confident, centered Masters student with an incredible amount of blessings and opportunities.

Yet, I keep trying to maintain friendships with my old high school buddies. It's worked with a few of the ones that also went to Uni, but not the others - not my best friends that saw it all during high school. I'm just so loyal...yet what you said really made me think. Maybe its a good thing that they've pushed me away...I mean, I'm very happy otherwise..

its just a hard process, you know? But I need to move forward...suggestions? smile xo.

oooo so I love that you love law. biggrin biggrin!! I LOVE those with 'geekitude' wink hehehe biggrin because it fills me knowing that there are passionate people in the world. I'm indiscriminate with the subject matter, but I swear, you sit me next to someone who loves designing bumper stickers, and then next to someone who loves neuroscience and im in love. just so beautiful. so you're beautiful. kiss

it is so crazy how we as humans just accept the law system, huh? really very random, actually - especially if you believe in what Hobbes said. wink Although, perhaps we live the way we do because we're more love than destruction...but that'll always be up for debate. Have you done work on Foucaultian discourses? GREAT stuff I tell you, and I can tell that you'd like him. smile

I am a business nerd. biggrin & a very happy one at that. In one of my past journal entries, you can see one of my most recent Exciting Exciting opportunities that have come up for me concerning the fashion industry(!!!).
I do do consulting for IT companies as well (lol, funny combo), and...well yes yes. lotsa stuff. smile The business world is my canvas, I like to say, it fascinates me and it gives me the entrepreneurial freedom to do whatever the hell I want - a dynamic of the business world not apparent in other disciplines as much. yay!

ooooooooooooooo this is a LONG entry! my apologies my dear, for taking up so much time, kiss

have a kick ass day, and nice talkin' to ya. *tips her hat*

No I have been always paying mortgage insurance (94 bucks a month for that in escroe payment) they added something called "Shortage"........have no fuckin idea what that is gotta wait to Monday to call them, but since I can't refinance I am taking everything out of escrow account and paying it myself, so they wont take my house away if my taxes are late. I figured easiest thing to do.
