I'm trimming my nose hair. I hear that pitched purr. A scurry and scratch reveal the source. A pair of racoons in the crawlspace under the bathroom.
I sit in the kitchen over coffee. I toss cat crunchies down the grate in the bathroom floor. A morning of entertainment above and below. And little fingers reach up sure for more.

I was watching a CNBC feature on Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and associated exploration of the billion dollar pet med industry. I found pet medical insurance on the internet for about ten dollars a month.
She's old now. My cat. Sleeps most of the day. Next to two bowls. Next to the stove. Found in the garden one day about eight years ago. Invited in the house. Stayed. Never asked for nothing.
