I have just changed my location on my profile. As usual, at this time of day, my mind started to wander, nay, saunter, or even, perhaps, sashay off on a completely random track, like those 'desire paths' that myriad feet use to cut corners, find the quickest point from alpha to omega, and that after years, find themselves the best path to use. I found...

In the actual show, it's 'One of Grundle's satellites', but I know what I meant. In the Target novelisation, I think it says 'One of the moons of Grundle'. Does it matter? Not really.

They are okay - but when compared to the five inch high figures, made by the same company, there is no comparison. These three and three quarter inch high figures are really intended as toys. The larger ones, ARE toys, but so beautifully detailed, and superbly finished, that most people don't open them, let alone play with them. I have been collecting them since they started becoming available, and like a lot of collectors, are annoyed at the sudden decision to change the scale. Another thing is price. The only 5" scale 12th Doctor available is as part of a set of the Doctor as he appears in his 11th incarnation in his last story. One body, three heads - young 11th, old 11th, and regenerated 12th. This set costs upwards of £30! (Didn't stop me from buying three, though). If you want the 5" 'War Doctor' from the 50th anniversary show, then he's £25+. Whatever, the detail on these little figures could be better, and there is no excuse. I occasionally buy Star Wars™ figures that catch my eye, and the last one I got was an obscure one: Bo' Shek™. Who's he? you might ask, and I reply that he's a vitally important character. No? He's the guy in the spacesuit who, in the Mos Eisley cantina, introduces Ben Kenobi™ to Chewbacca™ (sorry, I just found the '™' key). Why do I bring this up? well, because the 3.75 figure of a really obscure character from Star Wars™ is spot on perfect, whilst the newer 3.75 figure of the main character of a 52 year old TV show looks a bit like the Doctor. And for some reason, that disappoints me.

Also just visible, are a WW1 Type A tank, the Zero-X spaceship, from the 1966 movie 'Thunderbirds Are Go!', the 'Back To The Future' DeLorean, a 1944 M4 Sherman 'Tulip' (A British modification that let the Sherman fire 60 pound rocket spears), and a French Renault FT-17 light tank.

Oh, and lurking at the back, is a Hoix, from Doctor Who and Torchwood.
