OK if you REALLY want to know a little about me than you can read my last post....but I am not leaving it up. Sorry but I wasnt depresssed and I dont want you all to think I was!!!
Today is a great day tho!
I have said that I want to be a diabetic educator for kids right? Well when I went to get my belly button done on Wednesday I was talking to Luciano (71 tattoo...he is WONDERFUL so go get a needle shoved through something!) and he was telling me thta one of the guys that work there is a diabetic as well. That he was in a coma a few months back. Well if you read my journal from last night you UNDERSTAND how this affected me. This guy is NOT on an insulin pump and doesnt even have insurance! When I commented that I could help him get under control and get insurance AND the pump Luciano got very excited! Well he called me yesterday and asked it I can come in and talk to him! I agreed and am going in this afternoon! I even have my OLD pump that I am going to GIVE him! I cant use it anymore and it works fine! That way if his insurance will only pay PART than he already has the pump!!!
People this is what keeps me going. Its what gets me outta bed each day and its what makes me test my blood. I wanna help. I KNOW I can help this guy! I can get his bloodsugars under control and get him some insurance! This is my dream! Now yes I am NOT a CDE YET but I have had diabetes for 22 years and honestly know more than most ER or primary care doctors! Actually I have had DOCTORS tell me that!
So pictures yesterday (and thank you again Mariposa I had a hard time competing with the beauty of your painting!!!) Diabetic education today and I have plans to watch the sunset tonight!!!
Honestly this is what I have dreamed my life would be. I would lay in the hospital bed dreaming of days just like this one!!!
See everyone...dreams DO come true!! I am LIVING proof!!!
Well have a beautiful day my dear friends!!! You ALL deserve it!!
Play some great music...help a friend....watch a sunset....SMILE!!! I cant stress how important that is...it got ME through a LOT!!!

Acquainted With the Night by Robert Frost
I have been one acquainted with the night.
I have walked out in rain - and back in rain.
I have outwalked the furthest city light.
I have looked down the saddest city lane.
I have passed by the watchman on his beat
And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain.
I have stood still and stopped the sound of feet
When far away an interrupted cry
Came over houses from another street,
But not to call me back or say good-bye;
And further still at an unearthly height,
One luminary clock against the sky
Proclaimed the time was neither wrong nor right.
I have been one acquainted with the night.
Love Song by Rainier Marie Rilke
How can I keep my soul in me, so that
it doesn't touch your soul? How can I raise
it high enough, past you, to other things?
I would like to shelter it, among remote
lost objects, in some dark and silent place
that doesn't resonate when your depths resound.
Yet everything that touches us, me and you,
takes us together like a violin's bow,
which draws one voice out of two seperate strings.
Upon what instrument are we two spanned?
And what musician holds us in his hand?
Oh sweetest song.
The Silence of Your Eyes by E.E. Cummings
somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond
any experience, your eyes have their silence:
in your most frail gesture are things which enclose me,
or which i cannot touch because they are too near
your slightest look will easily unclose me
though i have closed myself as fingers,
you open always petal by petal myself as Spring opens
(touching skilfully,mysteriously)her first rose
or if your wish be to close me, i and
my life will shut very beautifully ,suddenly,
as when the heart of this flower imagines
the snow carefully everywhere descending;
nothing which we are to perceive in this world equals
the power of your intense fragility:whose texture
compels me with the color of its countries,
rendering death and forever with each breathing
(i do not know what it is about you that closes
and opens;only something in me understands
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses)
nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands
