How do you know when you've found closure?
Is it when you can think of the other person without that godawful sinking feeling that makes your head pound? Or when you suddenly wouldn't do anything to be able to go back in time and right past wrongs? Is it when you no longer feel that you need the other person, that maybe....your life is better without them?
Or is it when you can forget all the negative, all the hurt, all the missed chances, all the akward silences, all the panic, all the anger, and wish for them only happiness?
One time I asked an old friend after many months of.....well, missing, if he was happy, and he responded with "no". And it struck me then how happy I was, with life in general, and I don't think I've ever felt more melancholy.
So maybe this is closure....
