Watched a couple movies this last weekend.
Saw Donnie Darko for the first time.
You: "You've NEVER seen it yet!?"
Me: nope. Just watched it for the first time.
You: "Oh my God! I love that movie"
Yep. That is the conversation I have with everyone about that movie. Anyway, it was good. NOT what I was expecting. I was expecting Frank the Rabbit to be out killing people and such. Sort of... a normal horror flick. But it was not. At all. (do you like my bad sentence structure? lol)
Also, Watch the new Texas Chainsaw Masacre last night. Never saw the original so I had no idea what to expect.

You: "Oh my God! I can't beleive you have never seen the original. It is a classic!"
It was good. My wife really liked it too, though she was balled up on the couch jumping 20+ feet in the air every couple minutes. We both agreed it was not as gory as we thought it would/could be. Not that we prefer that. We are just expecting it.
We have found that a lot lately. Movies we thought would be gore fests are out gored by other movies you might not expect to find it in. Hmmm. But TCM was really well done I thought.
I was disappointed that there were no special features on the dvd though. other than some trailers and a music video.

I'll let you borrow the Special Edition I have. It's got an extra disc with all sorts of good shit on it.
