I am really glad you like it. Your opinion was one that I was interested in hearing. It's one thing for a pal to say "looks good" but it's something else entirely to have another artist give you a nice compliment! All I need to do now is connect up the "gap" between my lower back and the new stuff. He did a fantastic job of integrating an old tattoo between my shoulder blades that's probably 10 years old. It's a miniature mirror image of what's in my lower back and if you look closely you can see it but really, the connection is pretty seamless. The stuff down my spine hurt like a muthah fuckah (reminded me too much of the lumbar punctures I endured when I was in the hospital ) but my artist says he's already got some ideas about how to finish that lower third of my back and connect everything up without working over my spine. I'm glad I stuck with just black and didn't venture into colors. It makes it look sort of lacey -- kinda sexy! I have finally found an artist I love working with so I have a feeling I'll be going hog wild with new stuff over the next year or so. Stay tuned for more pics.
