This Valentine's Day I kept it real with Text Messaging. I also ate some steamed mussels and some chocolate. Yum yum.

Humboldt is pissing me right the fuck off lately. Its the realm of slow-moving time and conflicting schedules. I can't wait to get out of here. But I have to wait. On everyone I know and the weather.

I checked out some open-mic happenings the other night. Everyone had a guitar and a cover song in addition to their own little "piece" except one suburban youth and his quasi-progressive hip-hop spiel. It was all your standard run-of-the-mill safe and PC fare. Nothing livelier than my hot chocolate. I did meet someone to translate the Litany Against Fear to Hebrew for me, though.

I'm taking a little break from the drink, a bigger one from the stogies, and studying potential fasts. A short brown rice and veggie fast might find its way into my life.

The show 30Rock is annoyingly addictive and Tina Fey looks better every day.

I haven't talked to my dad in three weeks. The guy's a dick.
