I've got to go get some Nuoc Mam for my pho broth. I thought I could use oyster sauce instead. Dumb! Nothing can replace Nuoc.
I have to go get a smog check done. That's going to be awesome.
I think I'll shave.
I might make some ganja butter.
I need to transplant the clones.
I have to call my brother. It was his birthday yesterday, so I decided it'd be a good day to enact a few resolutions. They're not so much resolutions as they are a return to my old ways of healthy self-indulgence. Two hours exercise everyday, only 2-3 drinks per weekday, better eating and sleeping habits, that kinda stuff.
I'm also reading more lately. I have three books make their rounds at the moment.
A Cook's Tour by Anthony Bourdain, Whoreson by Donald Goines, and, as recommended by the lovely Smuffy, The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things by i forget.
There's one resolution that is brand new and long overdue. Once or twice a week, when I cook, I'm going to follow a recipe directly from a cookbook. Each dish I prepare will be from recipes in the same cookbook until I've attempted every recipe in it. Then I'll buy a new cookbook.
My 1st cookbook of the year is The Complete Vietnamese Cookbook. We'll see.
If I get any opportunity to learn some homestyle cooking methods from somebody's grandma, I'm jumping all over it.

Yummy! All I eat are fresh vegetables. I don't even crave fast food anymore! Although ice cream is always a must!
