If you want to read my play, go here.

So, I had a dream last night. The kind of dream that makes me understand why people in the dark ages (and, maybe, sometimes now), believe in alien abduction or demon possession.

I'm not going to go into a lot of detail, but in the dream I was talking to two women. One was shy, but we were convinced we were going to meet in real life, after I woke up. I asked her name and we talked about code words to use when we met to make sure we had both been dreaming of each other.

I couldn't understand her last name, so I asked again. This odd light, like a beam of localized sunlight, fell on her and she was pale, against the corner, all of a sudden very withdrawn. She whispered her last name again and again I did not understand.

I moved closer, up to her, and she said it one more time and that time I thought I understood. I repeated it back to her and BAM! she changed into a devil. Red skin, horns, hooves, the whole bit.

No, this wasn't some subconscious inditement of womenkind. It was a male devil and it had tricked me into saying its true name so it could escape from wherever it was banished.

Well, I was pretty pissed and flipped it off, then tried to fight it. Unfortunately it was one of those hampered movement dream states where I'm all sluggish and I can't even bitch slap the thing properly.

I woke up anxious and scared for a second. Took my bearings. Repeated the demon's name out loud, just as my way of telling the dream world to fuck off. To no one's surprise, no demon appeared (at least in my bedroom, I guess).

And I got ripped off of meeting a cute chick. In my dreams.

But, man... if I was some lonely farmer in Arizona or living in 1304... I'd be pissing my pants right now.
