I know, everyone hates long posts. I know, I suck at responding in people's journals. In fact, I'm a little amazed each time I show up and I still have 12(10) friends. So, the short and sweet of it:
1. Eye healing nicely (see last post, page past the boring text to the gory pics at bottom).
2. Remember when I had to put my big orange cat to sleep a couple entries ago?

Well, like an old married couple, the little black one, Tusk, had to be put to sleep on the 4th. Six weeks apart. I would think it was romantic if I wasn't so sad about losing two 20-year-old cats in a month. I was really looking forward to some quality time with her, since the other one was the dominant one all those years. I've spent a week moping around, which sounds dumb for a cat... but it's been 20 years since I haven't had to worry about food or litter or what door to leave open or hairballs, fur, meowing in the night. And I miss them a lot.
3. My current contract ran out last Friday. If you know anyone hiring Graphic Designers in the Seattle area, let me know. I have a quick print portfolio HERE and a more involved one at my website dqniel.com.

I will mope for a long time when something goes down with my cat. She's more of a person to me than most humans I encounter. Samling's got a kitten needing a home, I think...not a replacement for yours, just a kindness to hers. It is a thought.
