What is your favorite memory as a kid?
My favorite memory recently was when I had a party a few years ago for my birthday and all my friend were still alive mostly. My friend dru died a couple months later from years of heroine addiction taking over. Many followed including my best friend just over a year ago. I miss them all. that party is in my dreams, I was so glad everyone was there that night.
When I was a kid, its really simple, I miss my grandpa a whole lot. He used to sneak with me to the back yard on their land and showed me his secrete berry patch. They were so HUGE. I was about 7-8 at the time and these things were the size of my palm in my memory. Kids always remember things bigger than they are, but these blackberries weren't of this earth. If I seemed sad, he'd grab my hand, and we would silently walk as the sun set across the very large yard to the woods and down the trail and go pick berries and eat them all before we got back to the house, laughing the whole time about being sneaky. I never told my sisters it was there either! Sadly, without him caring for the land anymore, the patch was over taken by weeds and choked out. He was an awesome man.
