Fucking Weeds. I'm not normally one for comedy shows, even dramedy, but this show is just excellent. Problem is, it's like 10 episodes per season, and it's a frickin' half hour show. In order to get in an 80-minute workout, I have to watch three episodes, which means I'll be finished with the series by this time next month.

No biggie, it's yet another reason I choose not to identify with "communities", they gravitate toward outrage without forethought because one of "theirs" were hurt. Being a bisexual in the Midwest with alot of straight friends who were fucking flabbergasted when they found out I wasn't, I see a pretty clear delineation between unintended consequences and a hate crime. Homophobia is a way of life in a LOT of communities. Being accused of it when you're only starting to form your own opinions? Expecting an 18 year old straight kid to be socially conscious is ridiculous. Christ, I remember college as a freshman... everyone was a fucking idiot.
Early X-Files was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose came out in '93, I think it really came into its own, commercial and artistically. The whole season has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives that episode a big boost.
