Wow I can't believe I've been frozen in time this long....
Word of the day: penitent
ZEN FOR THOSE WHO TAKE LIFE TOO SERIOUSLY: HOW DO YOU TELL WHEN YOU'RE OUT OF INVISIBLE INK?
Well, what have I been up to this past month? Work work work then blow blow blow all my money on Christmas gifts. The words "Bah humbug" come to mind. Every year I think I'll have plenty of money for Christmas and I still end up broke. Who invented money? I'm gonna find him and poop on his grave.
Last weekend I starred in (and assistant directed) Hartford's annual production of Duke Ellington's Jazz Nutcracker. It's the same story and same music except the music is all done by the Duke so it's mostly jazz and tap dancing. I star as the Nutcracker every year and get an a cappella tap solo. We got a standing O both nights, so that was cool.
On another note, married life is going well. We're both still alive. We're trying to get an apartment at Artspace. It's housing for starving artists and they base your rent on your income (for those of you who don't know what artspace is). We sent in our application last week, we're just waiting to hear back. I'm trying to be optimistic about it (optimism is hard for me), I mean if we got approved for a van we should get approved for this apartment. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
Anyway, I've gotta get to a teensy bit of shopping as our bank account quickly dwindled (is that an oxymoron?) this week. Cellar door
