I went out for a night on the town, tonight.
Everywhere I go I bring my backpack and my cd player. It's become a compulsion. But I need music or something to do on the bus. I hate when I'm on the bus and have nothing else to do but pick a spot and stare. It's too tempting to stare at people--especially the people that ride the bus--and it's really awkward when they catch you staring at them.
Anyway, downtown was really fun. I was walking around listening to music, and you know how it gets when you listen to music--you start to feel like a bad ass right? Well that was me, and in retrospect, after getting home and noticing my fly was wide open (and when I say wide open I mean totally wide open where you could see my boxers), I must have looked like a complete idiot. But as they say, "It's all good in the hood." and I don't feel like such an ass after watching Adaptation. It's fucking great, profound, brilliant. hillarious, all those good things. It breaks all the rules. I hope it gets the oscar. Some movies are really good and do good things.. and it's sad that Kangaroo Jack is the number one film in America

i was supposed to see Adaptation with an old friend before he left for school but he flaked on me (he often does...)
Kangaroo Jack is #1? Oh please tell me yr joking...please...I don't think I want to believe that the people in this country are really *that* stupid.
Last week "just married" was number one. We'll all be long in the tooth waiting for commercial cinema to not suck.
