Oh my. Tonight was eventful. Flop$ bailed out because we couldn't get on the guestlist, so I went to the Horrorpops show with Marisa. It was a hassle getting there but it was fun. I ended up running into some old friends. Such as my friend's ex-boyfriend....who thought I was Antietamat first. WTF? People tell me we look alike all the time and I don't see it! We're both blonde and we're both babes....but that's about where the similarities end. Anyway, the Horrorpops put on a very good show (I love their dancers!), which made up for having to endure the disaster that is Roger Miret and the Disasters.
My feet are achey from walking all over this damn city in five inch heels.
Some flaming gay dude yelled "I ain't no holla back girrrrrrrrlllll!" at me today when I was walking down the street. I wanted to hug him and kick him in the teeth at the same time because I don't think he meant it in a nice way.
I think this guy is pretty swell. Haha look at that old school picture...from when I lived in the dorms!
My cats were WRASSLIN' today and it was cute:
My hair is a little blonder, I guess.
The pieces around my temple pretty close to the color I want. Meh. Patience....patience. That's me all dolled up for the show, by the way.
I just like this one cause it's blurry and it hurts your eyes.
Also, I make myself laugh by taking pictures like this:
Art FAG!
Ahhh shit. Sorry this is basically just a dumb vanity post. But why am I apologizing, that's all you foo's really like to read anyway!
Love,
Monroe

(Note: I do not begrudge her getting hers from licencing her song(s). More power to her.)
... But, yeah - the cinema is a surprisingly rich place for tuneage. White Stripes ("My Doorbell"), Elliott Smith, Tony Orlando & Dawn ("Knock Three Times") on the movie-tunes that play over the corridors and in the theatres (between shows), M.I.A. in ads for sleak autos. Good stuff...
The only possibly unfortunate admission I have is that Switchfoot is growing on me. Though I always sort-of enjoyed "Meant to Live" - I heard it toward the coda of my Buddyhead-reading phase, and for some reason I thought that the band singing that song was the at-one-time-Buddyhead-approved Revolution Smile - now, my enjoyment of Switchfoot nears total.
Suxxxors, or no?
(To use a bit of modified internaut lingo.)
... Also, if you havn't heard "Knock Three Times", you must. Simply must. Then, sing it with the boy in your living-room, knocking on the appropriate household accoutrements as warranted by the song.
I don't know if the male of first photograph is your current boy, present boy, or past boy - you time-stamped the photo as being two or three years old, so he could be any individual or combination of the three - but is that a jeweler's magnifying device, or some such, in his hand and held to his eye?
