So I was bagging groceries this one time at Logli ( 
) and this old man comes up and buys some shit, I dunno, some laundry detergant or something, or a candy bar. Something.
He's your stereotypical old man. Red sweat pants with old shoes, deshevled hair, the whole bit, think rimmed glasses.
So I bag his shit up and I look him dead in the eye, and when I do, his jaw drops.
It was like looked into my soul and saw absolute horror.
He looked into my eyes, and saw my future, and eventually, I'm the anti-christ.
It was fear beyond fear, and he looked so afraid, that it made me the saddest I've ever been, just to see this old man be afraid to look me in the eye.
And he wet himself.
And I realized what that fear was, that he knew he was going to wet himself, and I was looking him dead in the eye the time, throughout it all, right in his beautiful old eyes.
With pee dribbling down his leg, he walked out.
I cleaned up the pee on the floor, and no one else noticed what had happened.
It was a moment only he and I shared.

Have you seen 'Gigantic'? It's a documentary about They Might Be Giants - they showed it in Edmonton about a month ago, but it might have been around for awhile. I smiled so hard through the whole thing that my face hurt afterwards.
