To answer your question, I DO think science has a very valid purpose, making sense of the world is a very noble thing. It's just that the nature of proof seems a litle sketchy to me. You can make a lot of things SEEM like proof. I just can't latch on to the scientific method and accept it as absolute truth. I suppose scientists are teh biggest skeptics out there, which is well and good, but look where it's got us. Push button living and the morals of a petty child. Okay, granted, my own morals are my own problem.
Maybe it's science and capitalism I don't trust. Hell, maybe it's PEOPLE I don't trust, and science is just another vice. It's just another ethos.
