The older I get the more time feels like a living breathing thing. It stops and starts, bends, folds back on itself. It erases and warps memories and seeds new ones out of the wreckage. I used to think I had some say in it but now? I realise I'm caught in its flow like everyone else. The way forward is not to fight it...but to embrace change that comes. I realise too that I'm part of a chain stretching back into history. That's no bad thing. Knowing where you have come from is as important as where you are going. This is life, and it's a wondrous thing to experience.
