I had the weirdest cemetary experience today... went out to Whenua Tapu to visit the grave of a friend and rather than be somber and deal with it, we were badly behaved and drove round and round the cemetary roundabout.
I guess people deal with grief differently, but it certainly broke the ice. And then we couldn't find her grave and it was difficult.
Also we took a candle and I only had matches and it was so windy they kept going out, so we covered it up with my friend's jacket and I tried to light them and it looked like I was doing something dodgy under her jacket and people kept staring at us and I guess we probably weren't being respectful.
There was a sign on a tree cautioning children that cemetaries are SERIOUS and NOT SUITABLE FOR BALL GAMES so we decided that meant we weren't allowed to play with each others balls.
I guess I didn't really achieve my cemetary goals but we both knew that we were there to mourn, we just did it in a non-miserable way.

...we have that film festival here at the moment, so im entertained...seen some very cool films...did you see any when it was in Wellington?
