Jarboe last night was the best show I've seen hands down all year. Two women and a piano completely wiped out the NIN show that I saw the previous monday. Every opening act could have headlined and I would have been happy and gone home feelling like I've seen something worth going out on a Monday. Honestly, I don't expect to have that same type of experience for quite a while.
I couldn't get rid of that extra ticket. I sold it at the show finally. Ironically, I realized later that there was a reason for me to go alone as only I among my friends would actually enjoy not just the show but the people there. Last night was a who's who of NYC goth. I actually got to meet some people that I've been to chicken shit to talk to for years. Man that was cool.
