I have been working on the same set of song lyrics for six days now.

SIX.

F@CKING.

DAYS.

It's not even a very long song. Three minutes, maybe. It has a title: Leech. It has a good riff, some fun changes. It gets me all pumped up when we play it. But damned if I can get...

All the procrastination is starting to catch up with me. I'm getting that "time to buckle down" itch in the back of my brain...time to finally make the list, get the shit done, feel like I've accomplished something.

I wonder how much of my mood and motivation is tied to the weather? It's been sunny for...

I'm thinking about procrastination today...the whole phenomenon of putting things off. I've been a procrastinator my whole life, pretty much. Read a bunch of books on stopping it, took the Franklin Planner course a couple times, made resolutions, came up with tricks...

...all to no avail. I've still got a list of activities to complete, hovering in the...

NYE party went off without a hitch, although we lost a few of the regular folks to flu. The virus is super bad this year (in SF Bay area anyway) - it's felled almost all of my close friends. My wife and I are still avoiding it and crossing our fingers.

Anyhow.

The party was a...

Last night's show went off OK. The sound guy was an hour late and then vanished before we went on stage, so the mix was pretty much crap. Too bad, because we played a pretty tight set. Time to invest in our own PA system I guess. Good thing I have this big...

Back from GenCon. Had a great time, but picked up a sore throat & head cold...and me with a show in 2 days. puke

Best thing I saw at the show was definitely the Cyberpunk CCG. Cool people, good game. Also got to play some old-school BattleTech. Scrubbed out of both constructed Magic tournaments, though. I should just...

Got a touchup on my sleeve yesterday. It's not the skin trauma that bugs me - it's that I have to hold my arm in this weird position so I don't smear A&D ointment all over everything, and consequently every muscle on that side of my torso is all stressed out and achy. Waah. mad

Ah well. It's totally worth it....

This is one of those days I'm glad my TV doesn't get channels. Cold, drizzly, low-energy - perfect way to lose hours of my life channel-surfing.

So I lose hours of my life Web-surfing instead. Where is the justice? frown

Hey since you mention Industrial Strength for your tattoos. Did you notice that the kalx t-shirt design is a rip off of their design?
misterfinn:
Well, insofar as they're both guys with hammers...yes. wink I think the current KALX design has more of a classic Soviet "triumph of the workers" feel to it. Reminds me of The Cold War, a SF band I've done some production work for.
