Today was fucking lovely outside! Newfoundland weather basically blows most of the time... so when I saw the sun shining today, I wanted to take advantage of it! I went to buy a fold out chair, and parked my ass on my back deck! I brought out a small table and my drawing pad and went at it!

I'm effing pleased with the outcome! It's nice to have a shred of inspiration for once! I've gone too long without drawing. When I'm not creating, I don't feel like myself. It's almost like I become lost if I'm not inspired. I need art like I need air. Sounds corny, but it's true...

For the picture I used some tricks that my friend (soon to be tattoo artist) but all around, an amazing artist, taught me. You use a light green for proportion and general shapes (ie, shape of face or how big you want the roses) then you go in and refine it with a red, leave out or add anything you want. Then you go over the red with a .07 pigment liner for a bold black outline for the final product!!! The reason you use the green and red is because when you photocopy it, the machine only picks up the black, so you have a flawless picture!! Give it a try if ya don't believe me!

Here she be... I'll get around to colouring it some day soon. No stealing please
