I just wanted to write this blog post today as it's not only relevant to myself but I'm sure others can relate :)
I just wanted to remind you all that whilst looking in the mirror: that is your competition! Not anyone else... It's all too easy for us to compare ourselves to others...
Focus on being the best you can be. I myself strive everyday to improve in life be it things for myself or for those around me. Little acts of kindness, my health, my businesses..
It's all too easy to look on social media for example, and see other people flaunting things which you may not have but, this doesn't mean that you need those things to be happy.
Life to me is first and foremost about health and those close to you... Those truly are the 2 things that should take priority.
I work in industries where there is ALOT of judgement and a shit ton of rejection, but I do not mind this because I have learnt over the years to only compare myself to ME and work on myself and not to worry about those around me.
I suffer with anxiety and god knows what else, I mean who doesn't... But don't let that stop you :) a small progress is a good progress!
I'm sure there's many of us out there who are too hard on ourselves... I for one am majorly guilty for this... I am an utter perfectionist and sometimes you need to just step back and relax and realise you have done your best and as long as you continue to keep up the good efforts and enjoy life and be healthy this is what should matter...
You cannot please everyone.
We all have off days, sure. But, what matters is how we deal with them and how we pick ourselves back up.
I hope this post helps to bring some motivation or some sort of calm to some of you :) I know it's made me feel better writting it!
