Beware, I'm on a rant!
I am so tired and SO disgusted at people deeming others (in particular, women), a slut just because of their own CHOICES.
A few men tonight on facebook deemed a woman a slut on a TV show here in England just because she enjoys sex and even casual sex. WOW. I have no words.
The TV show is "First Dates" from Channel 4. Where people who are single come together in a restaurant to have a "first date". This woman in particular was a very pretty lady who was OPEN and CONFIDENT about herself and her choices. Good for her!
Just because she was this way and was flirty with her date it seems men (and some women) are deeming her a SLUT.
This, quite frankly, disgusts me. Why judge someone and name them a slut just because they enjoy sex? What's wrong with that?!
Man or woman, everyone has the right to enjoy sex, casual sex, whatever the hell sex they like and do as they please without being judged or named for it.
I know some of you are probarbly going to say: "Ohhh, but that's life! Everyone judges!" Sure... I get your point. But I am super tired of this slut shaming business.
I myself have encountered plenty of it. In particular because people seem to think that getting naked isn't okay. Or they think that me doing fetish and BDSM and also doing it in film and photos isn't okay. Well, guess what? I don't give a fuck. I am open about what I do. I don't hide it. I am not hurting anyone mentally or physically. At least I'm not lieing or cheating...
The year is 2015 and I cannot get over how people are slut shaming like this... It disappoints me. I don't want to have anything to do with people like this so I will remove them from my life.
This is also one of the many reasons why I love SuicideGirls. We are free to express ourselves here and do what we like. Pure liberation anytime we want. And positive vibes all round.
