I completely understand how you feel about that. I see it a lot with my job. I've been trying myself to get past the annoyance of that. It's working, but slowly. How are things now? btw, Happy Thanksgiving!

If you think you need them, use them and lose them.

If you don't need them, go shopping.

Ask yourself if you really need them.

Believe me, I feel the same way that you do. I've asked myself all those same questions and am still asking, and I just turned 31. I think what you said is absolutely right. What's important to you personally is what really matters. For me friends mean everything, and nothing else matters all that much. I'd love to have enough money to enjoy the finer things, but at the same time there are far more important things out there than money. As far as being remembered, I only care if I'm remembered by those whom I care about, and otherwise everyone else can go ahead and forget me. But, that's just me. As far as ways to travel, I've never done any of them personally, but I've had friends who have done one of two things 1) volunteer with groups that travel around and help people. There seem to be many of these, and from what I understand they are always looking for people 2) What about a job as a flight attendant? I have a friend who just graduated from college and got a job with an airline. I haven't talked to her in a long time, but that sounds like it might be an idea. Just some thoughts...

Hmmm, it sounds like you've met quite a few of those people, which is unfortunate...I keep trying to tell myself that there are good people out there as well, but I always beware! It's good advice in life!
