Sent the oldest daughter off Wed to see gramma. We drove her car in and looked around for another one.
The ol' Camry she is driving is fast on it's way to being a moving hazard. We didn't find anything so she was kind of bummed when she got on the plane.
We went back to the dealership where a buddy of mine works and drove a couple of the cars. When we came back from driving a Grand Am there was an '03 Cavalier with 14000 miles on it for $8500.
It was perfect and the payments are something that she can afford.
Don't get the idea that I bought it for her. I only got the loan so she could get it. When she turns 18 in Nov she will refinance it into her name and she is making all the payments and paying all the insurance until then.
I will not buy cars for my kids. Cars are luxuries for teenagers as far as I am concerned, if they want one then they have to buy it themselves. The Camry she paid cash and bought from her uncle.
I think she will be happy with it. It is a bright blue...I will take a pic and put it on later.
We maybe moving off post and into town, at least we are hoping so. I was born and raised in Alaska and I have never had neighbors so close to me. I am not sure I can take it much more of these close quarters.
I want to be able to let my dog out and sit on my porch without having someone standing over me.
Sorry I am not used to having many people near me.
