a little known school, in a little know-noone town, like Fairfax VA.
suddenly playing big league college ball. george mason is a barely 35 year old university, we're the first CAA school to ever make final four.
our school sits on the edge of Washington DC, balancing the some of the most affluent neighborhoods on the east coast, and being surrounded by schools like Johns Hopkins, George Washington and Georgetown with the gritty dirty underside of polished NoVa and Southern Md, not to mention the epicenter of eastcoast underdog cities. Washington DC, Baltimore, Anapolis. these are the cities which spawn the kids who go to big public schools like Mason and U. Maryland, not the preppy bitches who go to private schools in arlington.
but we're a fucking good school, with hard-core acedemics. playing alongside acedemic big dogs. one of the top three writing programs in the country, Harvard, Yale and MASON. noble prize winning professors, the best public poly-science in the country, an amazing law school and let me say, THE MOST DIVERSE SCHOOL IN THE COUNTRY and now our boys in green are ripping the ass out of 1st seed schools in the NCAA and now people will know about MASON, and they'll know about fairfax, and that's how it fucking should be.
because let's be honest, we're awesome. we're underdogs, we're not polished, it's all real here. this whole basketball thing is like GMU being the punks and thugs of colleges playing hardcore and finally getting some recognition. the streets of DC and NoVa and MD, getting some attention, as it should be. we have great players. Lewis, Butler, Skinn...best seniors ever. Freshmen who pull their weight, international team. [we have an african kid, do you have an african kid?]
not to mention our coach is awesome, when we played UNC he told our team they were kryptonite and they could take supermen, he told them CAA was for Conn. Assassin Association, and we took them too. and it'll continue.
