This year I did a ton of my Christmas shopping online and all the things I ordered came today. While they aren't for me, I still love getting big packages in the mail. It's like my own little early treat.

I've never been a big fan of this holiday, but I love trying to find the perfect gifts that really say I know the person that is getting it. No one else in my family really makes any effort to do the same. The give me extra large flannel shirts, calculators, Coca Cola novelty items, etc. Yeah that was stuff I was into years back. Was that the last time we spoke? When were you last over my house? Have you notice that I'm a size medium?

I work outdoors. Get me some warm long underwear. I love skyscrapers. Buy me a book on architechture. I have a classic car. Give me a gift certificate to an auto parts store. Jeez, is it really that fucking hard? Then just give me cash. It's seriously insulting to get stuff that you don't want. I hate having to pretend that I like what I got. I always show up Christmas morning so happy to be giving my presents out and end up leaving so pissed off.

I guess there's the possiblity that my gifts don't have the impact that I strive for, but at least I make the effort.

Hmm, I was in a good mood a few minutes ago. Writing this post has got me all wound up. Sorry.
