Sounds like you are having an absolutely awesome time.
I used to be pretty good at Spanish while I was in high school and despite some of the more complicated parts of the language, as you have seen it's pretty easy to pick up the basic elements of it.
Hope the rest of the trip is equally amazing as it has been so far.
