Ever notice that when you go on a 2 week vacation, sometimes everything has changed radically when you return?
New buildings might be springing up. Stores may close. People you know may change completely in your absence, just because. And since you werent around to see the slow change and roll with it, it seems like walking into a different world.. stranger in a strange land. Call me disenchanted, but i am not seeing the reason or the happiness that being part of SG used to give me.

I know everyone has felt this way about the site, rather the people on the site at some point or another, and they took a break. Well, i think im going to do the same. I just dont have the drive to check the site 10 times a day, or post on the boards, or argue some point. Im just not feeling it.

So ciao miao for now bellas. See you SGLAers at Paintball though. skull

Sorry that you are feeling low now that you are back from Europe. I know you must be missing your man terribly now, but remember that you have a very special love that transcends distance and time and if you keep holding on to that thought, then eventually he will come back for good.

As for feeling disenchanted with the world you have come back to. Sometimes when you don't see people or places (or online communities) for a while, it is perfectly natural to end up missing them and remembering all the good things about them and forgetting all the not-so-good things and maybe even looking forward to the fun things you could get up to. Then, when you get back, you catch them on a not-so-good day (a day when they are being insensitive, self-obsessed, bitchy or whatever) and it is a bit of a shock and you can find yourself feeling betrayed and thinking "Shit! Why did I waste my time and energy missing them?". This is especially true if you are going through a bit of a low anyway because then you are not going to have enough patience to 'suffer fools gladly'.

If you give it time and just lurk for a while without trying to be too active a participant, then after a while, you may find that the group seems to right itself again (as your perceptions and expectations realign themselves with the reality of the group).

In the meantime, try not to dwell on the things that get you down. I know that's a trite and clichd piece of advice, but whenever I have been sad (or angry, for that matter), I have found that there is a part of me deep inside that seemed to just keep on focusing on the things that made me sad, like that part of me was addicted to negative emotions and because of this I just kept mulling over the same old sad thoughts again and again round and round in circles. It is important to find positive thoughts to use to help you keep focused on the good things.
