Cool Beans! The gas guy just showed up, and moved my dryer out of the kitchen! (Yes, I said the kitchen.) It's now in the spare bedroom-storage-laundry room. I'm in the early phases of this huge project of making this little hole of an appartment more livable for two people. Liz is coming out here in a couple of months, and I can feel the domestication starting to creep up my spine and infect my brain.
Don't get me wrong. It's a cozy little place, but it's not really a "western" style home. (Imagine that!) I'm going to install a wall to wall closet organizer in the spare bedroom. It's going to be almost eleven feet long, and eight feet high. Lots of shelves and hanger rods. I figure I'll be able to dry, fold and put away all my laundry in one room. I'm looking forward to the finished product.
I've also re-arranged the living room to make it feel less cramped. So far, so good... now if I could only manage to remember to take out the trash every day...
