Ahhhhhh I don't know what's wrong with me, I can't post a damned image.

Anyway. Thanks for everybody's help! I'm taking your advice directly for the most part--

I'll post the pixx I'm using if I can figure it out.
erica:
you're trying to post the URL which the image is on. try getting the image source!
i.e.; if in safari, ctrl-click right on top of the image. select "open image in new window". you will get the url from the address bar.
if in firefox, ctrl-click on top of the image, select "copy image location" and the image url will be right in your clipboard.

should look more like this:
http://suicidegirls.com/media/members/2/37/72372/25866/450743.jpg

and less like this (what you were posting):
http://suicidegirls.com/members/mikey_dough/pics/25866/1/

if all fails, refer to: http://suicidegirls.com/boards/The+Site/31761/

SGs and fellow travellers: I need yer help, please!

I just did a bunch of photographs with this great guy named Aaron Farrington--they're for my CD package--and various publicity purposes. Check out my pics folder, take a look, and tell me if you like any of 'em.

it was nice talking with you the other day! oh snap!

As long as you're asking, I'm partial to the one with the book in front of half of your face and the couch shot. For some reason I find it really interesting that your shoes are in the middle (as opposed to either side).

The only classical music I really like is Bach, but just the solo piano stuff--the mechanistic quality really turns me on. I have that modern sense of absolute time.

I remember being a six year old and adoring the ticking sound of my Mom's Oldsmobile's turn signal.

Bach (Ba-khhhh) is kind of hot, in an unexpected way.

I apparantly do not posess an inherrant sense of absolute time, as I cannot slow down runaway pianists in modern compositions. Sigh.

Philly S-U-X. (Don't ask me what posessed me to spell "sucks" that way, as I just don't know.)
supercrisis:
My favourite piece of classical music is Air by Bach, though it varies in quality from orchestra to orchestra. I think I prefer his string pieces but some of the piano work is very stirring, like the Musical Offering.

Ahh, the snow's gone--so my big idea of the snow-shoot-set is evaporated too--next time I'll be smarter and have it set up BEFORE the snow comes.

With the luck we're having it could snow again...
kharnalbloodlust:
your twwly set was lovely!

it's a shame all the snow is gone. it was almost 60 degrees here in indy today. seems like every year has less and less snow. without snow, i miss out on so many of my favorite winter activities. =/

anyway, just wanted to say hi. smile

So happy with all the postitive feeback on the Twwly set--

Twwly on my Rooftop in the Warm, Warm Sun.

--such a gas! I've been really into photography for a while now, though I've mainly been photographing objects--buildings, cars, signs. I was so glad that the portraits came out well. I definately want to do more portraiture.

I've talked a little to Sean about doing...

smile Ha, yer welcome.

Too bad I don't live closer to New York. That's a cool idea for an ongoing project.
killedwithkarate:
That is a very cool idea for a series of photosets. Hey, and if you could find yourself some truly wild suicidegirls, you could shoot your rooftop sets in all kinds of weather through the year. If I ever decide to throw my hat into the suicidegirls ring (and by hat, I suppose I mean nude body) and get accepted, I can only think that I would be incredibly priviledged to work with a photographer with your talent, ease and ability to tie every aspect of a shot together to make something as impressive as I've seen in your work.

I'm heading to New York City for the second time in my life (and oddly enough, I'm going to look at appartments for my possible move there, which sounds a little hasty) and I'm sure I'm not the first person to tell you that walking around and seeing the various street names and locations in your songs will give them an extra special meaning for me. I will also have to wrestle with my interior (well, not so interior) dork not to shout "Hey man, well this is Babylon" as I pass the Williamsburg bridge.

Super, but will you be in Los Angeles? That's where I live now. wink
izabel:
That's funny -- your tats. I have a conceptual one, too. It's just a date -- May 21st, 1999. The day I got the tattoo. "What's so special about that day?" everyone asks. "I experienced it." har fuckin har. But yeah, that was the point.

So now I'm getting another one. I love WRITTEN tattoos (like "today"). This one has a lot of background meaning, but basically it's ROME spelled backwards -- AMOR -- with the R reversed.

Have you ever seen 8 1/2? I'm about to watch it for the fourth time. God, what a movie.

Nice set. You've got a fantastic sense of light. "Sunset Effect" -- the phenomenon when things get brightest just before they fade away.

Would you be interested in writing a short story for my collection?
I've always found your writing excellent, and I'm not sure if you do fiction or not, but some info about the book is below. If you have any additional questions ask me.

I and iamsick are putting together a book of short stories, flash fiction really, - called Songs My Mother Hated: Short Fiction set to Music - all containing a single favorite song lyric. The stories can be between 500 and 1200 words.

Hey all. I'm trolling the earth looking for a new band. If you're interested, or know somebody who is, write me at the address below.

This is the ad I put up on MySpace and Friendster:

I'M LOOKING FOR MUSICIANS

My next record will be out in the Spring, and I plan to tour like a fiend; so, I'm putting a new band together. (the...

okay meester doughty gene.

if you're trolling the EARTH, how can you limit the search for musicians to the new york area. it may seem like it, but NY is not the whole world. i have a globe right here (yes, it's the one with the bumpy texture for mountains). anyway... NY is just a little tiny dot. i can cover it with one finger. but i do have fairly large hands... which is why i rip on bass. good luck. feel free to gig at our bar.
