Bullet made her first successful leak-free river voyage tonight amid massive clouds of breeding gnats and hundreds of purple martins, barn swallows and bats that came to eat them at sunset. And my o my was tonight's sunset gorgeous! Made up for the dreary weather of the solstice.

Scouted some very promising fishing spots. Now for that damn license...

I think the Democratic ticket's gonna be Kerry/Edwards. Good move by Kerry. Get Southern street cred and shake the egalitarian stigma at the same time. I can't wait to see Bush go away. He can golf and fish and move branches around on his ranch all he wants -- without being the so-called leader of the free world.
