Ok! So, I saw The Aislers Set tonight. Holy Fucking Shit. I love them. All of them. Especially Alicia, cuz she talked to me for the better part of my 3rd glass of Merlot. Turns out she remembered me from the last time they came to town and well, she was the friendliest in the band, though they've been on tour with Yo La Tengo for the summer, and they all looked abosolutely beat. I know from experience that touring takes a lot out of one.
Anyhoo, they played their album "The Last Match" in nearly it's entirety. I was very grateful, as that's one of my favorite recordings of all time. Amy Linton, the driving force behind the Set, recorded it on an Otari 8 track. She looked cute as always, but was aloof and spent the night talking to the anorexic indieboys.
Wyatt was very cool, too, despite his apparent exhaustion. I met him at the bar as he was paying the band's tab. Poor fella. They shoulda been drinking for free. No wonder it's a rarity to see such talent in this area. Bands should ALWAYS drink for free.
I'm so happy I went out tonight!
I took some pictures. Have a look-see and enjoy!

that sounds great. i used to have a really cuddly group of friends. sometimes we would all just lay in bed together being innocently affectionate, back in the good old days. hehe. long live the hippies! lovey and cuddly and affectionate is the way to be. being angry and hating the world is sooo late 90's.
