I went to Roppongi Hills because the phone had a job interview and I had never been there. Yes, I know, it's the gaijin hot spot and I can't believe I've never been there.. it's nice! Well, Roppongi is ghetto, but the Hills is nice. I went shopping, bought some cute things... but the best thing was at the Mori Art Museum. I will be going back for their 30 years of Hello Kitty exhibit... but this time I went into the Roppongi Hills Art + Design store while happens to be having an exhibition of Takashi Murakami's new Prints: Creatures from Planet 66!!!
It was total luck that I went there, it was awesome. I got some postcards of the prints.
In other art related news, there is a Yoshitomo Nara Exhibition on Wednesday that I'm going to, it's the opening day and I'm stoked. I know there is one in San Jose too, but it's a different tour so I will be going to that one when I return.
Also, Marichan will be having an exhibition in Shinagawa with some other artists and djs, I intend to see that on Thursday. It's a one day only event and I'm really excited to be here while it's happening. It looks like I picked a good time to come.
----
Weather wise, it's still hot and sticky, although today was bearable. The phone and I watched some anime this afternoon during the hottest part of the day in the A/Ced apartment. There was a flying squirrel and it's now my favorite animated cartoon EVER.
----
Food notes: Ramen yesterday, candy from the Conbini and Muji today, the phone made lunch and I ate a little bit, but not much. Plan on some milk (holy crap I found LOW FAT today!!!) and mikan.
----
All in all, it's been a great trip so far. I'm quite happy here in Tokyo and more discussion of me moving here always happens when I'm here.
- I miss you all, I expect fun times and vegetarian eats when I get home.
- Afternoon Tea is an awesome store.
- I miss avocado and soyrizo tofu scramble.
