Whenever we first meet people we try and find a common ground. Something to connect on a personal level. This is just basic human communication. When a person is very much, by outward appearances, different from our norm we have to stretch a little bit further as we have no basis for a connection.
So in a way you should be flattered that they are trying to go to such lengths (and by how lame the comment they are stretching real far) to try and make a connection to you and try to maybe know you better. They find you interesting enough to try and stretch their little wings. Whether they are worth stretching back a little is up to you. You never know, they may be a real cool person down deep. Maybe they just need help figuring it out.
Course. . .they could be telling me that I am an animated chimp. . . .but I prefer to hope for the other. . .
