One of old friends came over on Sunday night. We have been friends for about 12 years or so but we have not seen one another for the last 4 because he was away at school or I was away. We stay in touch by phone weekly though.
Anyway, he had a bad break up a while back and was telling me how it bothered him and how creepy it was that his ex kept her deceased ex husbands (and her kids fathers) ashes on the dresser. I smiled but couldn't stop him. He then went on to point at a jar on my entertainment center and say how weird it was and what if I had someone dead in that jar right there. I smiled bigger and told him my dad was in there.
I have no problem with others having different opinions from mine as long as we can respectfully disagree or agree to disagree. In this case it just felt so good that I wasn't the one with the foot in her mouth for once I was nothing but amused. I swear I thought I was the only one who these things happen to. LOL
It was great seeing him. Weird I've been reconnecting with a lot of old friends lately. I like it.

I've been reconnecting with an old friend lately too, as per my blog. As for keeping the ashes of a loved one in your home...I dunno how I feel about it, but it's probably not as unusual as your friend thinks.

I used to take a vial of dust to school and tell them it was my mom. It wasnt, but it was her idea before she died. She thought itd be funny.
