So my gf has never seen a Star Wars movie in her entire life. She decided to let me in on this little tidbit mere days before the unveiling of Episode 3... big mistake. I've since purchased the DVD's for the original trilogy and forced her to watch A New Hope last night. Tonight is The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Tomorrow night is Episode 1 and possibly 2. If not played on Wednesday, Episode 2 will be shown on Thursday to be followed on Friday by the Clone Wars cartoons (YAY for TiVo!). All this is leading up to her seeing Episode 3 with me on Saturday or Sunday morning. I was going to make her watch the Ewok Adventures too, but that's just cruel. No one should have to see that crap...

Hold it, you got the DVD's for the original Trilogy? You mean those versions that George Lucas shamelessly raped in an ongoing fit of self-indulgent revisionism?
There's nothing like someone who hasn't seen any of the original Star Wars flicks to make you feel old.
