How's this for strange:

I ordered Ju-On from Netflix last week. It arrived and all, so I figured "cool... I'll watch it". See, I was scared enough by the American version to actually like so now I wanted to see the original and get super scared. Well, I open the envelope and go to put it in... but it's not Ju-On. Instead they sent me Showgirls. WTF?! I didn't even queue that. So I watched it last night for the first time. It is the crappiest crap that ever crapped crap. Actually... I'm offending crap by comparing it to that movie. Except Gina Gershon. She rocks fucking hard. love

And I finally saw Saw. I really liked it. Didn't really think it was scary though. It reminded me more of Seven than any other horror movie. Will definitely be a purchase when it comes out though.

Showgirls is absolutely awful. I watched it one night on cable when I was in high school thinking "hey alright! T n' A!" Unfortunately Elizabeth Berkley's character was too much to bear. I know they tried to make her the "tough-independent" chick, which I would have understood and appreciated cuz tough=teh sex(which any SG member will tell you wink ), but she wasn't "tough" or even "sexy" she was just bratty and obnoxious. So not only was she annoying but also the filmakers' attempt to make her a "feminist hero" failed miserably which made it even more agonizing to watch.

So what did I do? What any other virgin in high school would've done.....I hit the MUTE button so I could tune out the dialogue and just watch the parade of flesh. Alas, even the silencing of the audio was not enough to stife the craptasticness of this film. Even though I couldn't hear her, Berkley was still aggravating the hell out of me. I turned the damn TV off listened to some music and went to bed.

I figured your comp has crashed that night. Funny, last time I checked, my Mac, which supposedly "sucks", has never crashed while I was talking on IM with anybody, ever. Hmm.... wink
