(Didn't think this actually happens but) The wife found an injured small bird in the backyard and we're trying to nurse it back to health. We put it in a small cage, bundled it in a towel since it was shivering and it's cold out, gave it some water and bread, brought it inside, and put some antibiotic on its wound. It looks like it burned itself trying to warm up and has been struggling for a while. Hope it doesn't die in the night...
