So... one of my good friends is taking a "History of Religion" class and her teacher is not going to talk about paganism. The beginning of the class, and religion according to him, started with Judaism. How can anyone ever say that paganism was not the basis of religion when it's well known that polytheism predated monotheism?
So my accounts gonna lapse. I' wish I could stay, but I just can't afford it with the holidays coming up and all. I'll probably be back latr (or not leave at all if I can get some cash together) but I just can't do it now.

Update on the PS2:
Yes, I broke it by taking a hammer to it. But in my defense it was broken already. It was an initial release and needed to be put out to pasture. I did manage to snag a new PStwo yesterday though. It's super small and super cool.

Showgirls is absolutely awful. I watched it one night on cable when I was in high school thinking "hey alright! T n' A!" Unfortunately Elizabeth Berkley's character was too much to bear. I know they tried to make her the "tough-independent" chick, which I would have understood and appreciated cuz tough=teh sex(which any SG member will tell you 
), but she wasn't "tough" or even "sexy" she was just bratty and obnoxious. So not only was she annoying but also the filmakers' attempt to make her a "feminist hero" failed miserably which made it even more agonizing to watch.

Alas, even the silencing of the audio was not enough to stife the craptasticness of this film. Even though I couldn't hear her, Berkley was still aggravating the hell out of me. I turned the damn TV off listened to some music and went to bed.

*edited to say*:::being that even still...I dont think he should completley dismiss it as a religion on a whole, since it did spring others from it. I think it is an important part of history and since that the name of the class...."History of Religion, he should definetly include it is his lesson plan.
