aaah i july afternoon nice and quiet would be wonderful. i need to see the sun but the sky has been grey for weeks.

all that did change...in Alaska, food is so hard to come by. i'm constantly working, hunting, trapping, trading, buying, scraping...here in the Flatlands, it just appears, like magic. hell, even if i didn't buy food, i could live off the dumpsters. not so in Alaska. i think i miss that dance, that delicate tango with death that i dance on the ocean, and in the bush...the winds are faster here, and they certainly can put some good lashings on you with the right amount of rain or sleet...but there's nothing like a salty sea spray driven by the bulging swell of the sea and the furious gales to remind you that all that separates you from utter obliteration beneath the power of the sea, is the grace of God...

i need an idea...a good idea...one that will set me to a purpose. by that i mean, one that will make me busy with a project. i'll take suggestions, but my inkling is that i will prefer to set about on a mission i concoct myself...mmm, life, such a sweet concoction. everything is concoctions, we're all concoctions...inventions...puppets...mmm, yes, creativity is certainly an important aspect of happy living. so i hope to be my own puppeteer. as much as i can, at least.
