I'm officially a journalist now (for the last 3 days), with not one but 2 shiny jobs.
By day, I am quiet unnassuming regional reporter MP in a nice blouse and neat hait. Uuurgh *shudders*
AND BY NITE I AM GARISHHH MP, MANGA REVIEWER EXTRAODINAIRRE TO THE MIGHTY NEO, BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Except nothing ever works out that way...
Yep, I have the two jobs I wanted- get paid to interview people, write till my fingers bleed and get paid to read comix (oh yes, 'tis good for a paltry 30 a pop!

Trouble iz, I'm fuckin' knackered! I have to be up every morning at SIX and in work (30 mins away) by 8. Eeep. As a result I now have to go to bed at 10 each nite. Sayonara social life...to make matters worse I put the car radio in today and my parents had pre-set it to Radio 2. Radio 2 at 7:15am after a baaad day before-
Christ, I almost ended it all by driving off the A55. At least I would have had a pretty view to look at before I crashed and burned.
Oh and anyone who lives in Chester/ Flintshire- come bother me! I'm in desperate need of someone to drag me out for whiskey. There's only a certain amount of stalking I can do to my Stokie brethren...

Oh and anyone who thinks I hate my job already- I don't really. I'm just a tad stressed at the newness of it all, especially as my whole life has basically changed in the last two weeks. New house, new city, new job, new having to drive a car, new having to dress all normal

yes that Stay Beau scene is quite interesting on an anthropological level, though it does get a bit seedy watching fortysomething Rod Stewart wannabes chatting up glammy 14 year olds who then redouble their pulling efforts after they find out how old the kid really is
Also I wonder if you'll be covering the International Manga Art Festival in your professional capacity, sounds like it could be fun...
Then the following week (on the 26th) Paul Gravett has his latest book launch at the ICA, if you don't know Paul you should try to hook up with him he's the David Attenborough of comics, and a real sweetie...
